In order to obtain a REAL ID you will need to provide proof of identity/lawful presence in the United States, your social security number and two proofs of your current Oklahoma address. All documents must be in printed, not electronic format.

NOTE: For driver license and identification card purposes, tag agents may only serve U.S. citizens and permanent residents. All other non-citizens must visit a DPS facility.

NOTE: You will be given a temporary paper identification during your visit to get a REAL ID. Your official REAL ID will be mailed to you.

Please contact your local Tag Agency to confirm they are processing REAL ID requests.

Ensure you have all required documents to apply for REAL ID. Do not skip reviewing the checklist.

The deadline for requiring a REAL ID compliant credential to board a domestic airline flight has been extended to May 3, 2023. Until that date, TSA will accept any state-issued current Oklahoma driver license or identification card.

The deadline extension may not apply to other federal facilities. DHS recommends that you contact the federal agency you plan to visit in advance, to obtain information regarding identification requirements.
