The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is extending the REAL ID full enforcement date by 19 months, from October 1, 2021 to May 3, 2023, due to circumstances resulting from the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

 

Commercial driver licenses (CDLs), commercial learner permits (CLPs), and medical certificates have been extended by FMCSA until May 31, 2021, as long as they were not expired prior to March 1st, 2020.

Provisional Driver License

  1. What is the cost of a provisional driver license?

    • A payment of $25.00 representing the first payment of the minimum monthly payments under this program; $25.00 for an Oklahoma Identification Card; and a non-refundable $50.00 fee to enroll in the Provisional Driver License Program.  NOTENeither the cost of the Identification Card, nor the enrollment fee, is applied against the total of the outstanding reinstatement fees required to be paid in order to obtain reinstatement of driving privileges.  Further, the cost of obtaining insurance sufficient to establish proof of insurance in the driver’s name necessary to obtain a provisional driver license is also not included herein
