The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has extended the REAL ID full enforcement date to May 7, 2025.

 

All driver license offices now operated by Service Oklahoma (formerly operated by the Department of Public Safety and tag agents) continue to be operational and processing business as usual. Visit service.ok.gov for more information.

Commercial Driver License - Hazmat

  1. Do I have to do anything different on the drive test if I have passed the written examination to haul Hazmat prior to my taking the skills test examination?

    • No. Throughout the test the applicant will NOT be driving as if they are carrying a Hazmat load. Because the vehicle is not properly marked to carry Hazmat, that applicant will NOT be stopping at any railroad crossings for the sole purpose of such load.
    • All 1st time Hazmat Endorsements will have to comply with ELDT requirements prior to taking the required written test.
