Expansion of the CDL Third Party Examiner Program

The Department of Public Safety will be increasing the number of Third Party Examiners (TPE) across the State. To be considered to be a TPE, you must be employed by a Public School, Career Technology Center or a Certified Commercial Truck School that is approved and licensed by the Department of Public Safety. The information provided below will explain the rules in which you will be governed by and any fee’s that could apply to the application process. Mandatory training is a requirement and any cost associated with the program will be the responsibility of those entering into the agreement with the Department of Public Safety.

For Public Schools and Career Technology Centers, and existing Certified Oklahoma Truck Schools, you will need to print and read the information in Title 595:11-5 of the Oklahoma Administrative Code (OAC).

Please complete the Third Party Examiner Program Questionnaire and email to: CDLThirdPartyExaminers@dps.ok.gov

 

If you are not an existing truck school but interested in becoming a Certified Truck School and TPE, you will need to print and read the information in Title 595:11-7 and 595:11-5 of the Oklahoma Administrative Code (OAC).
