Pat Mays
Mays has approximately 35 years of law enforcement experience, working for several different police departments before joining the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Academy class 49, in 1997. Chief Mays has served in multiple capacities within OHP and has been a supervisor since 2004, working his way through the ranks to Major. His most recent assignment was the Zone Commander for Zone 7, which includes the Turnpike Division, Mobile Command Post Operations and the State Traffic Homicide Unit.
Mays has an Associate Degree in Police Science from Oklahoma State University and a Bachelor of Technology Degree in Emergency Responder Administration from Oklahoma State University. He is also a graduate of the 256th Session of the Federal Bureau of Investigations National Academy, graduating in 2014. He served in the United States Navy Reserve for 20 years.
