ODOC #FugitiveFriday: Oscar Edward Hernandez

Friday, May 24, 2019

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Oscar Edward Hernandez violated his parole in October 2010 and hasn't been seen or heard from since.

Hernandez was paroled in 2009 after serving time for Comanche and Oklahoma County drug possession and trafficking convictions.

In December 2010, he was charged with first-degree murder in Logan County in connection with the murder of Abraham Russell. County deputies found Russell's body in a ditch along a rural road that August.

Hernandez, 34, never faced trial in the case. It was dismissed last March due to insufficient evidence and information that he may be in Mexico.

He still is wanted for violating the terms of his parole.

Hernandez is described as 5-feet 11-inches tall and Hispanic, weighing about 180 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

The public should not approach Hernandez or attempt to apprehend him. Anyone with information can call our escapee hotline at 866-363-1119 or email warrants@doc.ok.gov.

All calls and emails are confidential.
