Water outage planned Wednesday at Lawton Correctional Facility

Wednesday, November 07, 2018

OKLAHOMA CITY – Water service will be shut off from 10 p.m. Wednesday until 6 a.m. Thursday at Lawton Correctional Facility while workers repair a leak.

LCF, home to 2,657 medium and maximum-security male inmates, will provide bottled water with evening meals and serve a dry breakfast on Thursday with milk and another bottle of water.

Inmates will have water buckets in their cells to assist with flushing toilets overnight.

Facility staff are contacting the Flower Mound Volunteer Fire Department to request a water trailer.

Port-a-potties will be available for staff.

The GEO Group, a private prison company, operates LCF.
