With visitation reopening, these free phone calls will continue until April 15. After April 15, phone calls will still be permitted, subject to standard rates and policies.

North Fork Correctional Center Career Fair planned for Thursday, April 19, at SWOSU in Weatherford

Tuesday, April 17, 2018

WEATHERFORD, Oklahoma – North Fork Correctional Center will hold a career fair 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 19, at Southwestern Oklahoma State University’s student union.

The medium-security prison for men located in Sayre is hiring correctional security officers and medical/mental health personnel. Applicant interviews will be conducted on site.

The Oklahoma Department of Corrections, which operates the prison, ended a hiring freeze last week.

“We need individuals who want to move up and become leaders in this agency,” ODOC Director Joe M. Allbaugh said. “We have a serious shortage of critical staff, and we need more dedicated people who want to protect and serve their fellow Oklahomans.”

Positions available include correctional security officers cadet through sergeant, and medical services personnel including nurses, doctors, psychologists, dentists, pharmacists and physicians assistants, as well as mental health professionals.

For a complete list of NFCC jobs, go to http://jobs.ok.gov/. Some positions require little to no previous experience.

Applicants should bring an official ID and resume to the fair.
