OKLAHOMA CITY – A minimum-security inmate walked away Monday morning from Mack Alford Correctional Center.

A correctional security officer noticed Alvaro Rodriguez, 35, missing around 8 a.m. at the Stringtown prison’s minimum security unit.

Rodriguez was serving Tulsa County sentences for possession of stolen vehicle, possession of a sawed-off shotgun/rifle, drug possession, and committing a felony with a firearm that had its serial number removed.

Facility personnel, an ODOC canine unit and area law enforcement were searching for Rodriguez on Monday afternoon.

He is described as Hispanic, 5-feet 8-inches tall, weighing about 160 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
