Male Medium Security - Opened 1979

Dick Conner Correctional Center (DCCC) is a medium-security prison for men located in Hominy. It also has a minimum-security unit on its grounds.

DCCC, which has a capacity of 1,196 people, received its first inmates in 1979, and cost $12.8 million to build. It is one of only eight state prisons originally built to house inmates.

The prison is named after former Oklahoma State Penitentiary Warden and Osage County Sheriff R. B. "Dick" Conner.

Many inmates lack education, a key component in avoiding re-incarceration. DCCC offers literacy courses as well as Pre-High School Equivalency and High School Equivalency diplomas. Associate's and/or bachelor's degrees may be earned through partnerships with Tulsa Community College and Langston University.

Substance Abuse Treatment

Nearly all state inmates have some form of substance abuse problem, and for many, that problem is closely related to their criminal behavior. To counteract this, DCCC programming teaches inmates ways to avoid drug and alcohol use, while also helping them develop the cognitive, social, emotional, and coping skills needed to avoid using.

Criminal Thinking

DCCC offers Thinking for a Change, Moral Reconation Therapy, and Associates 4 Success programs to address the thinking, judgment errors, and negative relationships linked with criminal thinking/behavior.

Specialized Units

DCCC is one of several state prisons that have infirmaries on their grounds. These provide intensive monitoring and treatment for inmates requiring that level of care 24-7.

Visitation hours vary by each facility. An inmate's security level dictates how many hours he or she may visit with approved visitors.

At DCCC, visitation takes place on Saturdays, Sundays and all state-recognized holidays.

State-recognized holidays that fall on Monday through Friday are “free” visiting day. An inmate's level will dictate the number of hours an inmate may visit on the free visiting day.

Holidays are free visitation days. That means visits on those days do not count against the total number of hours allowed to an inmate. If a holiday falls on Saturday or Sunday, then the hours will count on the total visiting privilege level hours.

Important Note:All inmate visitors must submit a “Visitor Request Form." You can find a copy of it here. Background checks will be completed on everyone over 18 or older. The inmate will notify you when the process is complete. The approval process takes approximately 8 weeks once the Visitor Request Form has been returned to DCCC.

As of May 1, 2019, Dick Conner Correctional Center visiting hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays.
