The Intelligence Division is responsible for the collection and dissemination of information and intelligence regarding Security Threat Groups (STG), drug trafficking, organized criminal activity, and threats to staff, inmates, and civilians. The Intelligence Division is comprised of both Intelligence Agents and Criminal Intelligence Analysts. Intelligence Division personnel identify and validate STG/gang members, and provide STG training to ODOC staff and other law enforcement officers. Intelligence Agents partner with ODOC facilities, state, local, and federal partners to gather information and intelligence through interviews and other investigative techniques. Criminal Intelligence Analysts specialize in the collection and analysis of information from multiple data sources including digital evidence examinations. Analysts also provide analytic support to ODOC, state, local, and federal partners.
