Inclement Weather Updates

News Release: State Department of Health provides an update on impact of severe winter weather on vaccine distribution

Below are updates by Oklahoma health department regions concerning closures of COVID-19 vaccine POD locations due to inclement winter weather. We will continue to provide updates as they come in from regional health departments.

Map/list of Oklahoma county health departments

  • Oklahoma City County Health Department
    • Feb. 17 vaccination clinics were rescheduled to Tuesday, Feb. 23. The clinics are scheduled for the Northeast and Southern Oaks’ locations. Patients should arrive on Feb. 23 at their existing appointment time and at the same location they were planning to visit.
    • The COVID-19 vaccine clinic for Thursday, Feb. 18 at our Northeast location was rescheduled to Thursday, Feb. 25. Those with appointments can arrive to the same location and time of their appointment on Feb. 25.
    • Oklahoma County is continuing to vaccinate residents 65 and older, healthcare employees, and first responders. Visit to search for available appointments for Oklahoma County residents. If the clinics are rescheduled because of weather, patients can expect to hear from the partnering hospital and/or OCCHD. Clinics canceled by the hospital or OCCHD will be rescheduled to a later date. If someone cancels their own appointment, a new appointment is not guaranteed.
  • Tulsa County Health Department
    • More than 8,000 appointments have been rescheduled by the department due to inclement weather February 10-17. Everyone who has been rescheduled and is able to make their new appointment date should not make any changes in the Oklahoma Vaccine Portal. Only those who are not able to make their rescheduled date should seek new appointments in the portal.
      • Appointments originally on Feb. 12 will be made up on Feb. 22 and Feb. 25 at the Expo Square Pavilion.
      • Appointments originally on Feb. 15 will be made up on Saturday, Feb. 27 at the Expo Square Pavilion.
      • Appointments originally on Feb. 17 will be made up on Wednesday, March 3, at the Expo Square Pavilion. Only those on the roster at noon on Feb. 16 will be rescheduled for this make-up date.

  • REGION 1 – (Beaver, Cimarron, Custer, Dewey, Ellis, Harper, Roger Mills, Texas, Woods and Woodward Counties)
  • REGION 2 - (Alfalfa, Blaine, Canadian, Garfield, Grant, Kingfisher, Logan and Major Counties)
  • REGION 3 – (Creek, Kay, Lincoln, Noble, Osage, Payne and Pawnee Counties)
  • REGION 4 - (Craig, Delaware, Mayes, Nowata, Ottawa, Rogers, Wagoner and Washington Counties)
  • REGION 5 - (Beckham, Caddo, Comanche, Cotton, Greer, Harmon, Jackson, Kiowa, Tillman and Washita Counties)
  • REGION 6 - (Cleveland, Grady, Hughes, McClain, Pottawatomie and Seminole Counties)
    • COVID-19 vaccine appointments scheduled for Feb. 18 at FireLake Arena were rescheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 24 at FireLake Arena (Shawnee) at the same time as your original appointment. If you are unable to make this rescheduled appointment, please register and visit to find another appointment.
    • The Cleveland County Health Department rescheduled vaccine appointments scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 17 at Sooner Mall (Norman, OK) for the same times at Sooner Mall on Feb. 21. Those with Feb. 17 appointments should receive an email with these reschedule details included and will not need to return to the scheduling portal to seek another appointment time. 
    • The COVID-19 vaccine POD scheduled for Feb. 17 at the McClain County Health Department was canceled. Your appointment will be rescheduled with you by phone. Once clinic staff is able to safely return to our offices, they will call you to reschedule your boost dose.
    • The COVID-19 vaccine POD scheduled for Feb. 17 at the Pottawatomie County Health Department was canceled. Your new appointment will be rescheduled for Thursday, February 25th at our FireLake Arena Clinic. Our health department staff will call you directly to schedule your specific appointment time for the 25th. 
  • REGION 7 - (Adair, Cherokee, Haskell, McIntosh, Muskogee, Okfuskee, Okmulgee and Sequoyah Counties)
  • REGION 8 - (Carter, Garvin, Jefferson, Johnston, Love, Marshall, Murray, Pontotoc and Stephens Counties)
    • The COVID-19 vaccinations scheduled for Feb. 18 at the Johnston County Health Department have been rescheduled for the same appointment time on Feb. 25. You do not need to revisit the online scheduling system to change your appointment.
    • The COVID-19 vaccine POD scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 17 in Love County was postponed to Thursday, Feb. 25.
  • REGION 9 - (Atoka, Bryan, Coal, Choctaw, Latimer, Le Flore, McCurtain, Pittsburg and Pushmataha Counties)
    • The McCurtain County POD located at the By-Pass Church of Christ scheduled for Friday 02/19/2021 has been cancelled. We are working to reschedule this event and will update as soon as a plan has been finalized.
    • Feb. 18 - Le Flore County vaccine POD at the Dan Reynolds Event Center was cancelled and working to be reschedule
    • Feb. 17 - Bryan County COVID-19 vaccine pod was cancalled and working to be rescheduled.
