OSDH releases COVID-19 reporting cadence for upcoming holidays

Tuesday, December 22, 2020

The Oklahoma State Department of Health would like to notify you that we will not be reporting data on Christmas Day, Dec. 25, out of respect for our personnel who have worked tirelessly throughout the response to the COVID-19 pandemic and to allow these employees to enjoy the holiday with family. The reporting cadence over the next few weeks is outlined below, and will follow the same protocol as the Thanksgiving reports.

The reporting cadence for the week of Dec. 21 is as follows:

  • Dec. 24: Data report will be sent out as usual
  • Dec. 25: No reporting
  • Dec. 26: Data report will be sent out and only include numbers that would have been reported on Dec. 25; Alert map and epidemiology report will be posted
  • Dec. 27: Data report will be sent out and include what would have been reported on Dec. 26 AND Dec. 27.

This reporting cadence will be followed the next week during the New Year’s holiday as well:

  • Dec. 31: Data report will be sent out as usual
  • Jan. 1: No reporting
  • Jan. 2: Data report will be sent out and only include numbers that would have been reported on Jan. 1; Alert map and epidemiology report will be posted
  • Jan. 3: Data report will be sent out and include what would have been reported on Jan. 2 AND Jan. 3.

*It’s important to note that this delayed reporting cadence may result in some DoD case counts appearing artificially inflated. For any questions, please reach out to OSDH@saxum.com.

Subsequent reporting will return to normal cadence.
