Minimum Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Must pass local comprehension/aptitude tests, practical exams, MMPI-2/CPI, or related psychological performance tests.
  • Must be eligible for the Oklahoma Police Pension and Retirement System.
  • Must be willing to work shift work that could include: nights, evenings, weekends, and Holidays.
  • Must be a resident of the State of Oklahoma and possess a high school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Must not have been convicted of a felony or a misdemeanor of moral turpitude or have pending criminal actions, and have a clean driving record.
  • Must not be a user of controlled substances.
  • Must be able to pass an extensive background investigation

  • Enforce laws and maintain public safety
  • Patrol and deter criminal activity
  • Respond to emergencies and assist the public
  • Conduct investigations and make arrests
  • Write accurate and detailed reports
  • Enforce traffic laws and manage traffic flow
  • Provide security and crowd control at public events
  • Collaborate with local, county, and state agencies

Salry/Compensation

  • Starting Pay:
    • CLEET Certified Officer: $17.00-$21.00/hour DOE
    • Uncertified Officer: $16.00/hour
    • Reserve CLEET Certified: $14.00/hour
    • Part-Time CLEET Certified: $14.00/hour
