Minimum Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Must pass local comprehension/aptitude tests, practical exams, MMPI-2/CPI, or related psychological performance tests.
- Must be eligible for the Oklahoma Police Pension and Retirement System.
- Must be willing to work shift work that could include: nights, evenings, weekends, and Holidays.
- Must be a resident of the State of Oklahoma and possess a high school diploma or G.E.D.
- Must not have been convicted of a felony or a misdemeanor of moral turpitude or have pending criminal actions, and have a clean driving record.
- Must not be a user of controlled substances.
- Must be able to pass an extensive background investigation
Key Responsibilities
- Enforce laws and maintain public safety
- Patrol and deter criminal activity
- Respond to emergencies and assist the public
- Conduct investigations and make arrests
- Write accurate and detailed reports
- Enforce traffic laws and manage traffic flow
- Provide security and crowd control at public events
- Collaborate with local, county, and state agencies
Salry/Compensation
- Starting Pay:
- CLEET Certified Officer: $17.00-$21.00/hour DOE
- Uncertified Officer: $16.00/hour
- Reserve CLEET Certified: $14.00/hour
- Part-Time CLEET Certified: $14.00/hour
