City of Okemah School Resource Officer Position
This position is for a Full-Time Law Enforcement Officer working within the City of Okemah’s school system. Commissioned School Resource officers must be self-motivated, require minimal supervision, and promote high standards of honesty, integrity, and fairness while needing to be able to handle juvenile cases within the schools.
Requirements
- 21 years of age and be a U.S. Citizen
- Must have high school diploma or GED
- Must have Valid Oklahoma Driver's License
- Have no Felony or major misdemeanor convictions, or no pending criminal charges
- Have no domestic abuse convictions
- Must have no recent involvement with illicit drug use/abuse
- Must have a high degree of ethical standards and moral character
- Must have sound judgment and the ability to think quickly
- Must be available to be called out in the event of emergencies
- Must be able to perform police duties without any physical restrictions or special accommodations
- Must be willing to work a patrol shift during the Summer and School Holidays
- Must pass background investigation, psychological assessment test, drug screening test
- Must pass oral interview
- C.L.E.E.T certified
