Pryor, Campus Police Officer (Full-Time and Part-Time)

Position Summary

Rogers State University (RSU) is accepting applications for full-time or part-time police officers at its Claremore, Pryor (especially needed), and Bartlesville campuses.

Under the supervision of the Chief of Campus Police, this position ensures the provision and coordination of university-wide security, safety programs, safety training, and compliance reporting tasks. RSU Campus Police aims to provide a safe and inclusive environment for students, faculty, staff, and the general public, while promoting diversity, equity, and social justice.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Patrolling university property
  • Investigating and reporting on-campus incidents
  • Collecting and compiling campus safety data
  • Writing and submitting reports to comply with Clery Act, VAWA, NIMS Training, and Title IX
  • Coordinating emergency and disaster response with external agencies

Departmental Units

The RSU Police Department includes full-time and part-time CLEET-certified sworn officers across several units:

  • Patrol Operations
  • Criminal Investigations
  • Community-Oriented Policing
  • Special Events
  • Property & Evidence Support Programs

Schedule and Requirements

  • Reports to: Chief of Campus Police
  • Full-Time Hours: 40 hours/week, 8-hour shifts
    • Coverage is 24/7, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Part-Time Positions: Available
  • Work Conditions: Service may be required when the university is closed
  • FLSA Status: Exempt
