Position Summary
Rogers State University (RSU) is accepting applications for full-time or part-time police officers at its Claremore, Pryor (especially needed), and Bartlesville campuses.
Under the supervision of the Chief of Campus Police, this position ensures the provision and coordination of university-wide security, safety programs, safety training, and compliance reporting tasks. RSU Campus Police aims to provide a safe and inclusive environment for students, faculty, staff, and the general public, while promoting diversity, equity, and social justice.
Key responsibilities include:
- Patrolling university property
- Investigating and reporting on-campus incidents
- Collecting and compiling campus safety data
- Writing and submitting reports to comply with Clery Act, VAWA, NIMS Training, and Title IX
- Coordinating emergency and disaster response with external agencies
Departmental Units
The RSU Police Department includes full-time and part-time CLEET-certified sworn officers across several units:
- Patrol Operations
- Criminal Investigations
- Community-Oriented Policing
- Special Events
- Property & Evidence Support Programs
Schedule and Requirements
- Reports to: Chief of Campus Police
- Full-Time Hours: 40 hours/week, 8-hour shifts
- Coverage is 24/7, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Part-Time Positions: Available
- Work Conditions: Service may be required when the university is closed
- FLSA Status: Exempt
