• Must be a Citizen of the United States
• Must be 21-45 years of age Full time only
• Must have High School Diploma or GED
• Must have valid Oklahoma Driver’s License
• Must be of good Moral Character
• Suitable Emotional Stability
• Must not have been convicted of Domestic Abuse
• Must not be under Protective Order
• No Felony Convictions or DUI
• Must pass Drug and Alcohol Screen
• Must successfully pass Psychological Test
• Have excellent verbal and written Communication skills
• Able to work Nights, Weekends and Holidays.
• Must have principled Ethics and Moral Character
• If Military Service must have Honorable Discharge, provide DD214
• Must successfully complete a Physical assessment Test and Written Exam
• Must successfully pass a rigorous Background Investigation.
• If Reserve certified, must be able to pass and complete Bridge Academy
• Ability to perform all Aspects of Community Policing
• Preference is given to applicants with Current CLEET Certification
Key Responsibilities
A police officer responds to public distress calls such as those of abuse, robbery, armed robbery, domestic violence, murder and the like. In order to quick response, police officers patrol residential areas in police vehicles where they also keep an eye out for suspicious and unruly behaviour, such as drunk-driving and drug use or sales. Thus they must be always watchfull and responsive to anything that threatens the security of the public.
Salary/Compensation
$35,000 starting pay
