The Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office is currently accepting applications for the position of Full-Time Deputy Sheriff. We are actively seeking CLEET-certified officers, but will also consider other qualified applicants with strong potential and a desire to serve their community with integrity and professionalism.
 

• Take-home patrol vehicles within 15 miles of county limits.
• E-Ticket system for efficient traffic enforcement.
• Outer carriers for increased comfort and officer safety
• Department-issued uniforms, pistols, rifles, and shotguns.
• Monthly issued ammunition for training and qualification.
• Modern and expanding fleet of patrol vehicles.
• Supportive command staff that encourages and invests in training.
• Expanding training programs with opportunities for continued education and specialized instruction.
• Opportunities for advancement and leadership development within the agency
• Access to our K9 program, which plays a vital role in narcotics detection, tracking, and officer safety.
• Participation in our drone program, used for search and rescue, tactical operations, and evidence gathering.
