Minimum Requirements
H.S. Diploma/GED
Current CLEET Peace Officer Certification, COPS Certification, or CLEET recognized reciprocity for Law Enforcement certification from another State Training Council;
Holds and maintains a valid Oklahoma driver’s license;
Attends annual Campus Security Authority (CSA) training;
Completes the National Incident Management System (NIMS) training within the first 90 days of employment (subject to class availability) of IS-100.HE, IS-200.a, IS-700.a, and IS-800.b.;
And completes OCCC Campus Police Field Training Program.
This position is safety sensitive and subject to mandatory pre-employment and random drug testing.
Key Responsibilities
This position provides public safety, law enforcement, and security services for the Campus Police Department including facilities and properties owned and/or operated by Oklahoma City Community College (OCCC); patrols the jurisdiction by foot, motorized vehicle, bicycle, and CCTV surveillance.
Employee is a current police officer with an Oklahoma Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training (CLEET) Certified Peace Officer credential; is able to effectively and efficiently perform the duties of the position with minimal immediate supervision; and requires a service-oriented attitude, flexibility, ability to exercise discretion, and a strong moral and ethical character.
The Campus Police Department operates 24 hours per day each day of the year; normal work shift is 8 hours; and may be assigned to any shift to meet the needs of the Department.
Salary/Compensation
$23.08/hour
