Course Commercial Framing and Construction
Location Alva Skills Center – Alva, OK
Average Training Time 350 - 650 hours
Special Restrictions Must have a minimum TABE score of 5.0 or better in reading and math.
Course Description Students will be trained in the following areas of commercial construction: metal stud framing, acoustic ceiling installation, and drywall installation. Each student will participate in varying percentage contact hours training in the following areas: trades skills, Keytrain in three academic assessments and practice: locating information, reading for information, and applied math to acquire an ACT Workkeys career readiness certificate, and life skills computer-based curriculum
