Provisional II Certificate
An individual may apply for the Provisional II Certificate if the following have been completed:
• 24 credit hours earned toward degree plan. (Does not include hours awarded for occupational competency or advanced standing.)
• Successfully complete OSAT or NOCTI exam.
• Request for Recommendation for Certificate Advance.
Provisional II Application:
Email the following to ODCTE at certify@careertech.ok.gov:
- Documentation of successful completion of appropriate OSAT or NOCTI exam or industry credential.
- Request for Recommendation for Provisional II certificate.
Mail official transcripts documenting successful completion of required 24 college semester hours toward the approved degree plan to ODCTE, Attention: Teacher Certification, 1500 W. Seventh Ave., Stillwater, OK 74074.
When all information has been received and processed, you will be instructed via email to log on to the SDE website to arrange payment and confirm your application for Provisional II certificate.
Provisional II Renewal:
The Provisional II Certificate will be valid for five years. To apply for renewal prior to expiration, an individual must successfully earn 15 credit hours of coursework toward the degree program every five years. Renewal should continue until a bachelor's degree has been obtained.
Mail official transcripts documenting successful completion of required 15 credit hours toward the approved degree plan to ODCTE, Attention: Teacher Certification, 1500 W. Seventh Ave., Stillwater, OK 74074.
- Official electronic transcripts are also accepted if they are issued from the university to laurie.richison@careertech.ok.gov
When all information has been received and processed, you will be instructed via email to log on to the SDE website to arrange payment and confirm your Provisional II certificate renewal.
